1. Heat or increase in temperature increases state of matter or decrease in temp.
2. The substance heats up and get excited so more energy is produced from the particles moving around, causing a solid to melt.
3. I really don't understand this one because water gets colder when it freezes and it gets hotter when it boils.
4. Thermal energy causes the particles to move around so much that they don't have a strong foundation and will eventually melt.
5. As there is thermal energy, the potato's particles get hyper and expand, causing the potato to explode without a way to release energy.
